Meetings
For the 2025/6 season our outdoors events ended in August. Our lectures resumed in September.
Lecture events are open to the public. All other events are only open to members and their guests, or by invitation .
Membership is free, but we charge a fee for attending our lectures.
Lectures (Winter meetings) will be held in meeting room Newtown Village Hall. Evening meetings 7:00 p.m. start. Afternoons 2.00 p.m. Start. Parking at hall in the trees. Please assist us by double parking if necessary, For most meetings there will be a £6.00 charge for members. £8.00 for non members. Payable on the day.
Spring and summer outdoor meetings will be held in members’ gardens or elsewhere. Details will vary so please read the detailed announcements. There will usually be refreshments available (donation requested) and the meeting will incorporate a bring and buy plant sale.
Monday 20 October 2025-
Monday 17 November 2025 2:00 pm. Afternoon lecture. Ray Broughton from Sparsholt College will be giving a talk on PLANTS FOR CLIMATE CHANGE. This will include flowers, fruit and vegetables. There will be the opportunity for questions. Newtown Village Hall. Admission £6.00 members and guests £8.00.
Monday 15 December 2025 7:00 pm. Christmas Social. 52 Bartlemy Road. Donations appreciated.

Tea/coffee will be available at the meetings in Newtown Village Hall. for 50p. We will no longer be holding regular raffles but may do so if we have special prizes available.
